Our Reiki Legacy & Direct Lineage
Welcome to the Holistic Life Center/Institute, the premier center for professional Reiki practitioner and master-level training in Northern California and the Central Valley.
Founded and directed by Jan Noble, HHScEd, our institute carries an unmatched 32-year history of teaching authentic energy work since 1994. Our exceptional standards draw dedicated students across a 65-mile radius—frequently serving communities in Modesto, Riverbank, Oakdale, Stockton, Merced, and Sonora. Over the decades, Jan has personally empowered and graduated more than 1,500 Reiki masters and teachers, creating a foundational pillar for the regional spiritual and holistic health community.
An Authentic, 6-Generation Connection to Dr. Usui
In the practice of Reiki, lineage matters. It represents the unbroken chain of oral tradition, wisdom, and attunements passed down from teacher to student. Jan Noble’s rare and revered lineage connects her students directly to the originators of Usui Reiki, via two sweet instructors who studied under William Rand and co-taught the training directly to Jan in Turlock:
1. Dr. Mikao Usui (The Founder of Reiki)
2. Dr. Chujiro Hayashi
3. Mrs. Hawayo Takata (Who brought Reiki to the West)
4. William Lee Rand (Founder of the International Center for Reiki Training)
5. Janette Wood & Gale Mellow (Who co-taught the lineage in Turlock)
6. Jan Noble, HHScEd (Your Master Instructor)
Our State-Approved Programs
We provide a comprehensive, CA BPPE state-approved curriculum covering all 5 levels of Certified Sacred Breath/Violet Flame Reiki Master Teacher training. Designed to accommodate busy adult schedules and traveling students, we offer flexible weekday, evening, and weekend paths. Students receive lifetime access to training materials and essential business tools to confidently launch a private practice.
Experience a Class First-Hand
In alignment with our welcoming, open-door philosophy, we invite all prospective students to coordinate a complimentary class sit-in. This allows you to experience the powerful healing energy of our campus, meet current students, and connect directly with Jan Noble before enrolling.

Jan took this photo of an actual Reiki beam in July of 1994, right after she finished her second degree Reiki training. She shows the actual photograph to her students in her second degree Reiki classes, and explains in detail how the beam was brought to her.

: Reiki Training - Five Levels/Three Degrees
The Holistic Life Center teaches Reiki across five levels, drawing from the Sacred Breath, Violet Flame Usui lineage. Director Jan Noble, HHScEd has guided students through these traditions for over 30 years, with more than 1,500 graduates from Center and Institute programs combined.

Each level builds on the one before it. Students do not skip levels.
